Hale Pulelehu'a

A classic plantation style home, this Haena beach house, known as Hale Pulelehu'a (The Butterfly House), is a wonderful place for your family & friends to experience the island lifestyle on the North Shore of Kauai. Immaculately cared for, island art & historic photographs help create a serene environment that ensures a memorable experience.

The Hale Pulelehu'a (The Butterfly House) is lovingly cared for and provides easy access to all of the activities of Kauai's North Shore. It is located a scenic ten minute drive past historic Hanalei town and only one and a half miles from the end of the road at Ke'e Beach and the start of the breathtaking Kalalau Trail and the famed Napali coast. Directly across the street from the home is one of the most beautiful private sandy beaches on the north shore. World famous Tunnel's Beach, which is one of the finest seasonal snorkel and surf locations is a spectacular 5-10 minute beach stroll away. Right down the road on the ocean, you can dine at the Mediterranean Gourmet Restaurant or visit the Napali Art Gallery and Coffee House with some of the best coffee on the island.

You will also be able to enjoy historic Hanalei town, where you will find restaurants offering sushi, burgers, vegan dining, fresh fish, Pacific Rim, pizza, Brazilian, and tapas. Several of Hanalei's restaurants have been featured in Food and Wine and Gourmet Magazine. Don't miss the Hawaiian Shave Ice!

Hanalei has a variety of charming boutiques and services, including yoga and massage, as well as shops to rent kayaks, snorkel gear, or bikes. You can fish and kayak at the Hanalei pier and river. There is seasonal world class surfing as well.

Princeville is 15 minutes from the house and offers golf, zip-lining tours, horseback riding, jungle waterfall kayak trips, shopping, and more.

  • One bedroom guest house-guest house (The Tree House) that cannot be rented separately from the main house

  • One detached unit with a king size bed available

  • Two bathrooms and one half bathroom

Rates and Deposits:

 

Main House: from $4850 per week 

Main House plus Guest House: from $6000 per week 

 

  • Cleaning fee: Main House $525 plus tax, with Guest house $650 plus tax

  • Refundable Damage Deposit: $1,500

  • Reservation Fee $50

  • Tax Rate: 14,962%

 

More than 8 guests require the use of the Treehouse guest house, a  cleaning fee is required

 

 

Reservation contract is issued upon confirmation of dates.

Reservation deposit of 50% of total is due within 7 days of receiving contract.

Final payment due 90 days before arrival.
